CarbonSmith is an environmentally friendly additive manufacturing company that accomplishes high end manufacturing techniques while saving energy, reducing environmental impact, and minimizing waste.
Over 30 years of professional CAD modeling and Mechanical Engineering Experience provide the backbone to this Father and Son team.
Located in the heart of motorsports country, Kannapolis, North Carolina USA our in-house additive manufacturing composite 3D print farm and pre-preg carbon fiber shop produces high-quality carbon fiber prototype parts 50x faster and 20x cheaper than traditional aluminum parts.
What is CFF 3D Printing?
Continuous Fiber Fabrication combines the latest technology and strongest composite materials to create the ultimate 3D print.
What is pre-preg carbon fiber?
Pre-Preg carbon fiber is an advanced fabric and resin system that is cured under elevated temperature and pressure to form a high-performance part that has a perfect resin to fabric ratio. This results in much stronger and lighter composite parts compared to vacuum infused composites.
We use the latest 3D printing, 3D scanning, CAD, and CFD technology to design, develop, and manufacture high performance carbon fiber products.
We use aero-space grade pre-preg carbon fiber, Markforged Onyx (PA6-CF), Onyx FR (Flame Retardant PA6-CF), Onyx ESD (Electronic-Static-Dissipative PA6-CF), Precise PLA, Smooth TPU, and Continuous Carbon Fiber, Kevlar, Fiberglass, and HSHT.
CarbonSmith reduces the costs of traditional manufacturing by
eliminating large amounts of labor, large property investments, outsourced materials and services, expensive shipping services, and lengthy productions.
We can offer part solutions reinforced with Carbon Fiber, Kevlar, Fiberglass, or High Strength High Temperature Fiberglass (HSHT) depending on specific applications and needs.
